Mattress Protectors

There are a few things you can do to prolong the life of your new mattress.  These are:-

• Turn the mattress regularly.  This ensures even wear on the mattress.  Turnable mattresses should be turned over and spun around.  One sided, Non-turn mattresses should be spun around. When and how often?  there is no set timescales but monthly is what we would recommend.
• Air the bed.  Sounds like an old wives tale but this will help your mattress last.  In the morning pull back the covers to let the bed air during the day.  Monthly,pull off all the covers and let the mattress air with the windows open.
• Use a good quality mattress protector.  Wash this regularly to keep the mattress fresh. We have a selection of four qualities from Poly cotton to 100% cotton and superb quality breathable waterproof mattress protector.
