Terms & Conditions
Payment and Prices All prices displayed on our website include VAT but exclude delivery charges. Goods may be paid for by credit card,debit card, personal or building society cheque. If paying by credit card the total price payable will be deducted from your account on placing the order. If paying by cheque, the goods will only be dispatched after the funds have cleared. Please pay cheques to “Pine & Cane Furnishings Ltd”. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit cardor debit card has been properly received.
Typographical Errors In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information from our suppliers, taxes or duty changes, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed. If your credit card has already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the value of the incorrect price (including delivery charges).
Delivery DatesDelivery on our more popular lines that we keep in stock are 7 – 14 days. For non stock items the delivery is around 2-6 weeks. We will notify you on placing the order of estimated delivery times. We will endeavour to deliver the goods within the times stated but the supply and delivery of the goods is sometimes out of our control. Any dates that we specify for delivery are approximate and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in the delivery of the goods.
Availability of goodsAll products and or services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we will not charge you for these goods and we will refund any money paid for them. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses you may suffer if we do not supply the goods.
Special SizesOnce an order has been received and payment taken for special size or tailor made products we will not refund for cancellations.
Risk as soon as we have delivered the goods to your door you will be responsible for them. If the goods are to be carried over the threshold of the house then you will be at risk and we will not be liable for any damage to the goods and/or the property and/or items in or outside the property. We will only deliver goods to the address on the order and goods will not be left without a signature. From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk. Any transit damage to the goods, shortages or incorrect goods supplied must be notified to us within 7 days of delivery.
Product GuaranteesAll products supplied are covered by the terms and conditions of the Manufacturer's Guarantee for a period of 12 months.
Returned GoodsIf you are not totally satisfied with your purchase for any reason. It is your responsibility to return any such items in a pristine saleable condition in their original box and packaging. You will be wholly responsible for the return of the goods and any associated costs of return. Goods received back incomplete, damaged or in any condition other than saleable, will be returned to you and the cost of return carriage charged to your account. Prior to returning any products, please contact us within 7 days from the date of delivery. If you do not return goods within 7 days after you have informed us that you wish to cancel your order, your right to cancel will be revoked.
Privacy PolicyWe are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service. We will not pass your e-mail address to anyone. The type of information we will collect about you includes:
- your name
- address
- phone number
- email address
- credit/debit card details
This information is only used to fulfil your order and for our trading records. It will not be used for any other purpose. Credit card details are not retained once the on-line validation and transfer is successful. We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This information is behavioural only and cannot be used to identify individual customers. Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies enable us store items in your Shopping Basket between visits and you may choose to store your personal details, but this is not done unless you authorise it. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser to prevent that.
